The Interior Design Awards is an annual program developed by the Australian design industry to celebrate and promote outstanding commercial and residential interior design.

The judging process is managed by the Design Institute of Australia. It’s anonymous, based on peer review and complies with international standards. Any Australian-based design professional may enter.

Extensive coverage of projects and their designers is achieved in print and electronic media, including permanent addition to the online Awards Archive, for short listed, commended and awarded projects.

2009 AWARDS ANNOUNCED

The national 2009 Interior Design Awards were announced on 1 May during a Gala Presentation Dinner in Melbourne attended by a crowd of 600. There were 15 Award categories, with the overall 2009 Award for Interior Design Excellence and Innovation going to John Wardle Architects for Melbourne Grammar School, Nigel Peck Centre for Learning and Leadership.
