Susan Freeman is a director of Freeman Ryan Design, a company that specialises in exhibition and graphic design, planning and interpretation for museums, galleries and visitor centres. A qualified architect, Susan has over 20 years experience in designing and managing exhibitions projects within Australia and internationally. Before establishing Freeman Ryan with Stephen Ryan in 1997, Susan worked as an architect and then as senior designer and design supervisor at Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum. Her particular skills lie in concept design and design development embracing a diverse range of subject areas and collections, with a strong design philosophy and focus on the pursuit of design excellence. Susan is also a regular guest lecturer in design at the College of Fine Arts, Sydney, the University of New South Wales and University of Technology, Sydney.
